Lawn Aeration

dandelions1_afterOur Lawn Aeration method removes small plugs of soil in your lawn that will break back down and reenter the soil structure. This process brings nutrients back to the soil and the small holes left behind will allow water, air and nutrients to penetrate into the soil to strengthen the root system. This also helps to condition the soil to stay less compacted. Aeration can be done one or two times per year depending on what soil type you have. We typically aerate twice per season for heavy soil like clay or gravel while sandy soil can be aerated once.

Tip:  While beneficial for the lawn, Spring aeration may reduce the effectiveness of the crabgrass preventive if it has been applied.
